Mappel Bench

Mappel is inspired by the form of a maple seed. Using natural and organic forms and curves in this seat is pleasant for the user. The ergonomic forms provide comfortable sitting. The soft flow of curves inspired by maple seed is also ergonomic to sit on. The seat is aesthetically pleasing for urban spaces with no hard tones to disturb the visual scenery. This seat is a double modular bench, this means that it can be used solo or in pairs. Each module is about 3*1.8 meters and resembles a seed cut in half. When placed together they complete the form of the seed.

Curve

Paradisi Curve has a double concave carbon fibre composite seat. Designed on CAD software, every minute detail of every angle, chamfer & radius was obsessively perfected in 3D space. Every carbon fibre layer was laid by hand meticulously to ensure the weave is perfect and the result flawless. Each metal piece was painstakingly machined on a CNC milling machine. All finished off with a beautifully-crafted course-grained leather cushion. Each chair is unique and numbered.

BAMBOO FOREST

The traditional open storage closet was for showing books and pottery. By adding strings and sewing marks, the image of a traditional open storage closet was changed to more feminine one. The furniture silhouette can be changed naturally by binding method of strings. The top wood panel of the furniture and the lowest panel is drilled to make many small holes vertically, and connected with many flexible strings to look like a string curtain. The details of the point on which wood panels is connected with strings is made to look like sewing.

Minimal Bookshelf

The Minimal Bookshelf is a simple storage solution that incorporates the books it holds in its design and construction. The bookshelf features grooves cut into both ends of a shelf, which the user can slot books into to serve as bookends. If your book collection is too large to fit on one shelf, a second or third can be added, with the bookends doubling as pillars to support the shelves stacked on top.

Reflections

Reflections is from the design collection called Textures which was inspired by the landscapes of South America. The yarns were hand spun and designed to create a three dimensional texture on a flat woven surface. The contrasts of the tight loops combined with the hanging yarns created the unique pattern of the hand knotted silk rug.The surface echoes the boldness of the blue mountains and warm golden sunsets.
