Gis is a three legged wooden chair with bronze feet and is carved out from two walnut logs with exquisite craftsmanship to seem as a sculpture. The wood knots and scars are remained exposed to give the objects a special characteristic. Despite its uncanny appearance, Gis is ergonomic due to the careful design of curves and angles. The design is an exploration of solid wood possibilities and also is a walk on the edge of Art and Design, Beauty and Function.

The design is inspired by zoomorphic iconography, which appears in prehistoric art and in traditional crafts such as carpet weaving and pottery. The chair measures 70 by 75 by 90 cm and is shaped for ergonomic comfort. The table measures 75 by 170 by 80 cm. Each piece is produced with an advanced three-dimensional printing system combined with fiberglass technology, and is refined by hand. Guardians aims to build a positive emotional connection between people and animals.

The design is simple but effective and thanks to the production technology of the curved plywood and the specific shape, the armchair will be able to flex slightly according to who sits and the weight of the person. In the upper part there is a comfortable shelf for magazines or books or any other items within reach during a small rest on the leaf armchair.
Continue readingModern Chinese is an armchair intended for seating and also suitable for display as an art piece. The form borrows from the traditional Chinese armchair and from Marcel Breuer's No. B33 chair. CNC processing shapes plywood and solid walnut into a fluid and seamless outline, replacing the angular parts and woodworking joints of traditional construction. The structure and the strength of the wood were calculated to support body weight. A metal tube frame was studied first, but wood was chosen for its warmer appearance.

The base was designed using parametric waffle programming, a type of 3D modeling that creates a flowing structure joined by fittings. The base is cut by CNC machines from certified multi-laminated wood. The backrest and the seat are made by hand and rest lightly on the wooden structure. The base meets the floor at four points of support. Upholstery is available in leather, wool, thread or cotton. Delirios unites digital technology with Brazilian craft traditions.
Continue readingBada is a chair designed to encourage regular changes in sitting posture. Long periods of sitting place added pressure on the lower back. When a user leans into a bent posture, the seat plate rotates and creates an inclination of about eight degrees. The body then slides slowly, so the user is prompted to sit upright again. The body of the chair is made of solid white oak, and the connecting bar is made of stainless steel. Curved forms express the rotation and sliding of the seat. The chair measures 500 mm in width, 580 mm in depth and 750 mm in height.
